This looks awesome! Thanks for the chance to play in browser, it has sold me on buying a physical cartridge for it. Question: does a copy of the rom come with physical purchase, or would I need to buy that separately here if I wanted to play it on emulation devices?
Hey, thanks for playing! The physical cart and rom download are sold separately. They are sold on different platforms, so it's not really possible to distribute them together as far as I am aware.
A couple things, is it possible to add feedback for missed or landed attacks? The method for choosing items at the shop is a bit clunky, could that be changed to a standard selection rather than the quasi mouse? This one is a small nitpick, but the gamblers face looks really different up close compared to the sitting sprite, was a bit odd! But it was fun and I'll definitely keep playing :)
This is the full game. You will need a GB or GBC emulator to play the rom. It is also possible to play on gameboy handhelds with our physical cartridge (available in our webstore) or launching the rom from a flashcart. We are currently working on ports for Steam and Google Play Store, so those will be good options if you don't want to fuss with an emulator. Thanks!
I couldn't find anything on the Ghoul Thrasher magicquestmedia page.
1: on the "select" button screen it says 5 potions. What does this whole screen mean because I can't figure out how to use these potions. I can only use the ones that happen to pop up in the "start" menu.
2: also on the "select" screen why does "+ 1 Attack have an X, and "20 hit points" also has an x or hourglass however you look at it.
3: is it a roguelike game or am I playing it wrong. Everytime i die it starts over.
* Thanks for reading and/or any help. Again, its a dope game.
Hey! Thanks for playing and reaching out. Apologies for certain aspects/features of the game being so opaque haha. The Select menu is our 'Level Up' menu. When you level up in the game, you receive a random boon/buff from that list. The select menu helps you keep track of which boons you have gotten so far in your run, so each time you level up, it will mark one off with an X. And, yes it is a rogue like, so each time you die, you start off again in a new randomly generated dungeon. You'll notice there is no save feature, so you just try to get as far as you can each run, until you face off with the Citadel's final boss. We're glad to hear that your enjoying the game, good luck Gnargoth!
Love this! Just a suggestion, maybe a dice roll would be nice to see when attacking or defending. It doesn't even need a number, just a success or failure would suffice.
really great start and intrigues to check some more out when it’s completed! a bit curious on the battle front as I noticed I have a very easy time when mashing a.
Thanks for checking it out! We are big fans of Traumatarium and it is definitely an inspiration for GT. Many elements of the game rely on chance, so some runs are easier than others, try Thrasher mode for a more challenging experience.

Can you include a digital version of the manual and comic/poster?
Hey, thanks for reminding me! Manual is now live in the downloads. I will upload the comic in the near future when we sell out of physical copies.

Really fun game, I finally beat it today!

Two questions please. Is this the full game or a demo? Also, do I need a GBC emulator to play this?

I really, really like it!

Thanks or the feedback! I'll try out using a hit confirmation sprite and see how it feels.
Thanks, Dark Fort was definitely a big inspiration! We love Dark Fort and Mork Borg!
